Project Management Institute - Arabian Gulf Chapter (PMI-AGC) would like to invite organizations in the region to submit their projects to PMI-Arabian Gulf Chapter for 2012 PMI Project of the Year Award. All projects, regardless of size and industry, are encouraged to participate. As per the PMI Headquarter guidelines submission to the Chapter should be on or before January 24, 2012.
The following are the milestone dates for this undertaking (POY):
24th Jan 2012 : Deadline for Preliminary Submission of project nominations to the Chapter (nominations received after this date shall no longer be included in the review & selection process by the Panel of Reviewers)
15th Feb 2012 : Panel of Reviewers to select the projects that will compete for Preliminary Level Selection.
22nd Feb 2012 : Deadline for Panel of Reviewers to select the project that will compete for the next level. Preliminary Project Manager should notify the PMI-AGC President on the findings and recommendations.
Please ensure that the selected project package, in its final form, is received at the PMI-AGC office no later than 20th Feb 2012. This is to allow adequate time to produce the required copies and be able to meet the submission deadline (of 1st March) to PMI.
26th Feb 2012 : Preliminary Project Manager should send the final package to PMI HQ to compete at the Preliminary Level.
01st Mar 2012 : Preliminary Package should reach PMI HQ at the Preliminary Level.
2nd Mon May 2012 : PMI HQ will declare the 3 nominations packages with the highest scores for Finalist in the POY Competition. All nominators will be notified whether their submissions will or will not move on in the competitions. Information at this stage will be kept confidential.
3rd Mon Jul 2012 : POY selections will be made by PMI.
Oct-Nov 2012 : POY Award will be presented at PMI Congress.
