Mr. Al-Rifaai elected Kuwait President
On 23 April 2009, PMI AGC announced the results of its 2009-2012 term Board of officers. Mr. Hashim Al-Rifaai, Chairman & Managing Director of Oil Development Company (ODC), was elected Kuwait President.
For the previous term, Mr. Al-Rifaai was also leading the Kuwait team in the capacity of a Vice President (VP). The new PMI AGC structure promote regional heads from VP’s to Presidents status with larger responsibilities and influence.

Typically, each regional team is responsible for defining its organizational structure and officers’ duties. A significant achievement from last term, was the development of regional team's organizational structure and documented bylaws and duties of Kuwait officers. The proposed structure and duties were approved for Kuwait, and ecommended for the remainder of AGC teams consideration.
