On this occasion Mr. Hameed Mohamed Rafeek, Engineer in Head of Planning Department at HOT Engineering & Construction Co., Kuwait presented a case study which proved that the incentive system is one of the key factors to improve productivity and reduce the costs/durations significantly. Incentives might appear as an additional cost to the project but in reality they are not. Mr. Rafeek proved that the required incentive value is generated by the crew themselves and they also generate additional revenue for the organization.

The well attended presentation was followed by questions and answers session through which the attendees strengthened their understanding of challenges related to motivating labour to enhance their productivity.

At the end of the presentation, Mr. Arshad Siddiqui, Director Finance at PMI-AGC Kuwait, thanked the speaker and awarded him a certificate of appreciation. He also thanked CofPM for inviting PMI-AGC members to attend this technical presentation.

It is worth noting that Mr. Hameed Mohamed Rafeek, PMP has 18 years of Construction & Project management experience covering Oil & Gas and Infrastructure projects. He has good experience as an instructor at Kuwait Society of Engineers in project management. He has also presented a paper in the 13th International Conference held in Bahrain during 24th – 26th January 2011, a fabulous event. He is an aspirant of PgMP & CCE.
