On Saturday, June 25, 2011, PMI-AGC Kuwait arranged a well-attended Breakfast Meeting titled “Building a Winning PM Team” at Holiday Inn, Salmiya.
The meeting was facilitated by Mr. Simon Wallace who is an entrepreneurial leader with a track record of capturing high growth in complex competitive market conditions. He combines over 25 years of technical and commercial background with expertise in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia markets to rapidly establish top quality sustainable organizations and governance integrity.
Simon is Founder and Chairman of The Whole Thing World Ltd, UK and CEO of The Whole Thing FZ-LLC, UAE (a licensed partner). Simon has previously held a number of C-level and board director positions with international organizations in the building materials sector of the construction market. His many achievements include orchestrating an award winning business plan, securing external financial investment and pioneering the launch of a new brand into emerging regions such as Vietnam. He has been able to quickly establish top performing multi-cultural teams and multimillion US$ sales for previous clients in less than three years.
Simon started the Breakfast Meeting with sharing his own experience on building winning teams devising a tried and tested approach to building high performance that focuses on the six levers of high performance and the value of pursuing synergy. His presentation was well researched, knowledge-based and designed with the Project Manager in mind. The meeting was conducted in a highly interactive manner with participants actively asking questions and sharing their own insights.
At the end of the presentation, Mr. Wael Aljasem, President PMI-AGC Kuwait thanked the speaker and the attendees for their interest in the topic and for making the event a success through their active participation. Volunteers who helped with the arrangements of the event were also applauded.
