The Community of Project Management – (CofPM) at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation invited PMI-AGC members to attend a technical presentation on Tuesday, June 21 2011, at Bubyan Club, Salwa. The event was attended by members of both CofPM and PMI-AGC.
On this occasion Mr. Praveen Madhavan, CEO and founder of Project Seers, Canada highlighted the importance of critical human factors, an area that Project Managers have long ignored only to bear its detrimental consequences. He emphasized that the human factor is an absolutely mandatory factor in project management whose significance can be determined from the fact that it is a subset of all knowledge areas and encompasses all project processes. The presentation included a discussion on five deadly mistakes as well as importance of “DELEGATED RUNS” in large projects. It ended with a summary of five Golden rules that cap the deadly project management mistakes.
The well attended presentation was followed by questions and answers session through which the attendees strengthened their understanding of challenges related to change management and KNPC’s experience with the same.

At the end of the presentation, Mr. Wael Aljasem, President PMI-AGC Kuwait, thanked the speaker and awarded him a certificate of appreciation. He also thanked CofPM for inviting PMI-AGC members to attend this technical presentation.
